Hidradenitis: Acne and the hidradenitis may be related. We used to think that both were related secondary to infections. However, now we think the disease is mainly driven by inflammation. The #1 treatment for hidradenitis is now a drug called Humira. I recommend seeing a rheumatologist and would be happy to do a consult if needed.
