A member asked:

What is the likelihood of getting a false positive on genetic testing when pregnant? i just had blood drawn for it, and i'm somewhat regretting it...

Depends on the test: There are tests that are less invasive or expensive that can narrow down the group that should have more specific (expensive ) testing done. Everyone worries about their baby & most have mixed feelings about the testing. If you are a catastrophist & always worry about bad outcomes, these tests can provide some comfort when negative. If positive it just means more dependable tests are needed.
