Tonsillectomy: After any surgery, especially in the throat, swallowing or talking may be very uncomfortable. The use of narcotic pain meds is one source of nausea and vomiting, but swallowing blood, even in small amounts, can also cause this. It is best to visit the surgeon for reexamination and discussion, along with some anti nausea medications.
