Wheezing at night: "Hay fever" or seasonal allergies typically cause symptoms such as sneezing/congestion/runny eyes - not typically wheezing. However, allergies can cause a flare of wheezing associated with asthma - which is a potentially serious condition. You definitely need to be evaluated for reactive airways/asthma. If your doctor doesn't take you seriously - please seek a second opinion.

Extrinsic asthma: This could be extrinsic asthma caused by the pollens that cause you're allergic rhinitis which we also call hay fever. You can have your position have you see an allergist to clarify

Allergies : There is a close connection between asthma and allergic rhinitis. Do you have asthma? I don't have a lot of information in your situation, but a flare-up in allergies can certainly cause an exacerbation of respiratory symptoms. You should see an allergist, get tested for allergies and go from there.
