Wheezing at night: "Hay fever" or seasonal allergies typically cause symptoms such as sneezing/congestion/runny eyes - not typically wheezing. However, allergies can cause a flare of wheezing associated with asthma - which is a potentially serious condition. You definitely need to be evaluated for reactive airways/asthma. If your doctor doesn't take you seriously - please seek a second opinion.

Allergies : There is a close connection between asthma and allergic rhinitis. Do you have asthma? I don't have a lot of information in your situation, but a flare-up in allergies can certainly cause an exacerbation of respiratory symptoms. You should see an allergist, get tested for allergies and go from there.
