Most common: The most common cause of headaches in patients with brain tumors is vasogenic edema - swelling around the tumor or tumor cavity. Treatment is steroids, typically dexamethasone. If this is ruled out by MRI or ct, then the list of causes becomes very large - post surgical pain, cluster headache, migraine, etc.
