Not necessarily: If you keep the area clean & apply antibiotic ointment if the blisters break it may heal on its own.Covering the site with loose gauze & putting a small mit over the hand may keep the kid from messing with it.Make sure to view the site several times a day.We hope the blister retracts down intact & acts as a natural dressing while it heals.If ite finger becomes swollen,painful a visit may be needed

2nd degree burn: this a common injury in children apply crushed ice in sa pack immediately and do have her checked so that a good dressing can be done to protect the blisters from bursting
