Gingivitis: I think I have gingivitis. I heard its reversible with proper care. But do I continue brushing even though the bleeding persists? ANS: brush and floss like your teeth depended on it. I assume you don't want dentures yet. When you have done right and enough the bleeding will stop. What did your Dentist tell you? At least 2 x a day? I recommend the floss thing that looks a bit like a tooth brush.

Gingivitis: You are absolutely correct... it is reversible with proper care, but that care may also include professional cleanings by your dentist/hygienist team. Any calculus adhering to your teeth needs to be professionally removed to allow your brushing and flossing to work. If it has been more than six months since your last hygiene visit, you need to make an appointment.
