Sepsis: She needs to see a doctor as the information is sketchy. Lots of things depend on the age of patient, other associated illness etc.

Memory: Your sister needs to be evaluated by her doctor. If memory issues continue, she can see a neuropsychologist who can test for specific type of memory loss and provide ways to cope. Peace and good health.
