A member asked:

Keep getting these recurrent yeast infection and painless ulcers under tongue possible hiv exposure 2 years ago took hiv test 3 weeks after exposure -?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HIV exposure: If the first HIV test was negative at 3 weeks, a 2nd test should be done 6 months after the last at risk exposure to be truly negative. Recurrent yeast infections indicate a repetitive change in the vaginal pH levels which can be due to harsh soaps, douches, frequent intercourse, etc. Have a MD reexamine the area and consider a longer term Rx if present. ( 1 to 2 weeks).
