Let me explain: Snapping hip syndrome, sometimes called dancer's hip, is a condition in which you hear a snapping sound or feel a snapping sensation in your hip when you walk, run, get up from a chair, or swing your leg around, usually is not paifull.
When become painful we think about inside the joint problems.

Not to worry: Pops and snaps are common when the muscles move over a joint that is tight, or when the pelvis is rotated causing the hip to rotate when you bring it to your chest. Stretch your hip flexors in a yoga position called cobra. A physical medicine physician or a physical therapist can help you with an exercise program if it persists good luck to you.
