I have eustachian tube dysfunction that i think is caused by dairy allergy. would testing for a dairy allergy be considered medically necessary?.

Depends: If the problem goes away when you are off dairy and returns when consumed, you need to stay away from dairy regardless what the test may show. Do note way over 50% of people with allergy to dairy can tolerate dairy which has been baked.

Lactose problem : First of all, Eustachian tube dysfunction is usually caused by inhalant allergy because the allergens you breathe in through your nose will interact with the Eustachian tube and cause problems. Most dairy problems are lactose intolerance and not true allergy. However, you can be tested for lactose allergy and it is usually covered by insurance.
