Forgotten tampon?: If you have forgotten to remove a tampon, then that can cause one of the worst smells there is after a few days. Check and see. If you have, when you remove it have a sturdy plastic bag that can be closed and sealed and disposed of, or the horrible smell will spread far and wide. If that is the problem, removal is all that is necessary. If that is not the problem, get checked for infection. today
