I had a piece of bone stuck between my teeth. but when i flossed my teeth, the bone was not there. is it possible that the bone went into my gums?

Unlikely: Unless you begin to have bleeding, swelling, or pain, the piece of bone most likely came out on its own or was removed with your flossing. If everything feels fine within a day or two, you're probably OK. It's always best to check with your own dentist just to be sure.

Contact DDS: If concerned, see your dentist for a clinical and perhaps radiographic examination. Most likely the piece was dislodged, if you still feel discomfort see the dentist.
