Cancer not likely: Jessica, Cancer is a very uncommon cause for lower back pain. A normal CT Abdomen/Pelvis is some evidence against any cancer. Pain at night or while laying down is a cause for concern, but there are some very common reasons. Pregnancy or recent injuries could explain SI joint pain. Arthritis of the spine and Disc issues could also present at night. A spinal examination & evaluation is recommended.
