Possible: Alcohol use can cause neuropathy. Hard to say if reversible. Other causes are pre-diabetes, diabetes, heavy metal exposure, toxin exposure, medications, hormone imbalance (thyroid), infection, familial.

Possible: There are other reasons for neuropathy, but the excess alcohol could be a factor. See a neurologist as they could assist you in figuring your problem out.

YES: Possible alcoholic or diabetic neuropathy. I suggest a neurological evaluation, nerve conduction studies and a comprehensive physical exam to included blood and urine testing. Make sure to get an abdominal ultrasound,liver and blood sugar levels as well as B12 and folic acid levels.

Neuropathy: Alcohol is a cause of neuropathy.
