You are unlucky: or exposed to lots of viruses (child care?). At the first sign of infection, start taking vitamin C, 1 gm ever 2 hours while awake or stop if you get diarrhea. You might want to take a gram or two a day throughout cold and flu season as a preventitive. GOod luck!

It happens: The average person will get a couple of upper respiratory illnesses/yr because the germs involved don't trigger a completely protective immunity.The flu changes so often, people with a lot of face time with others are likely to get it also.Sometimes the flu shot can help, but it only protects against the strains in the shot, not every strain every year.
