Defer to Urologist: If the doctor you refer to is a Urologist, then most of us would defer to that opinion. You can always ask for a second opinion, but the Urologists are the ones that do the procedure, & you have to find a willing Urologist to get this procedure done. There are many reasons why ureteroscopy would be risky (overall health, anesthesia) but maybe alternatives exist. Talk to a Urologist. Good luck!
