Totally normal: Discomfort during pregnancy is normal. Hip pain is, unfortunately, common. Look out for contractions, pain that doesn't go away, and of course, bleeding and leaking fluid.

Going bowling@ night: Your abdomen is going "bowling" at night with a "bowling ball"(fetus) floating inside your abdomen. It is difficult to keep the "ball" centered on the lane when you are turning from side to side. Your pelvis, being bony, tries its' best but pay the price of hip soreness in the a.m. Simple solution: place pillows under your abdomen on each side, & when you turn at night, there will be less pressure
