A member asked:

What are the recommended procedures of removing uterine tumors while keeping the uterus intact?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Myomectomy: Fibroids can be removed using a myomectomy procedure which involves small incisions in the uterine musculature to remove the nodules. This is done either by laser, scalpel, via minimally invasive techniques such as Da Vinci robot or laparoscopy. Future fertility is usually preserved. However, this procedure only buys time as fibroids can return eventually.
