Creating satiety-: It is absolutely true, that a calorie is a calorie.But, it often helps to know that proteins and fats delay gastric emptying in the patient-(this could / would be different with some types of gastric surgery).Thus, we could feel fuller--and consume less calories, even though a food as olive oil has 9 calories per gram-more than twice that of carbohydrates. You can make food choices that could help.
