Cavity: The uterine cavity itself can be split in the middle (Didelphic), septum or partitioned in its top segment (septate) or with two elevations over the top of the cavity (Bicornuate). Essentialy, it is failure/impairment of fusion of embryologic ducts that make up the uterus during development.
