You will get a lot: of opinions about this but my belief is that, especially at your age, focusing on daily expenditure of more calories is the place to start: walk whenever you can, take the stairs. Then, rather than focusing on what you shouldn't eat, focus on healthy: 6-7 vegetables/fruits daily, 4+ servings of healthy carbs/whole grains each day. Pick one thing, do it until it's part of life. Then pick another:)
