I had a CBC that was normal. 7 days later, start Bactrim for Lyme. 5 days thereafter, CBC shows mild anemia (low: RBC, Hgb, Hematocrit), with normal iron/ferritin. Low Folate, normal MCV. IS THIS FOLATE DEFIC. ANEMIA OR BACTRIM: APLASTIC ANEMIA?
I have Thalassemia minor it Skews FBC test I had Ferritin and folate Iron test and B12 all Ok. Serum Ferritin is 12 ug/L range 12-250ug/L Normal?
