Not really: One of the harmful effects of smoking is increasing risk of heart disease, making it more likely for your heart blood vessels to be blocked/atherosclerosis. Running may help prevent this, but not completely. The effects of smoking, on balance, would be worse. PLUS, there are all the lung effects (emphysema, cancer) that running would have no preventive effect on. No smoking is best. Good wishes:)
