Can you have a "ballerina foot" appearance in your valve without having a wall contraction abnormality?

I think not: The "ballerina foot" pattern IS a heart wall motion abnormality associated with pronounced mitral valve prolapse. Vigorous early contraction of the middle part of the left ventricle is coupled with a bulge in the anterior heart wall. This abnormal heart wall motion looks like a ballerina slipper heel on imaging/echocardiography.
