There is a: reasonable chance that you were bitten. If Lyme and numerous other potential parasites were present then you have been inoculated. The long term side effects of Lyme disease can be devastating. The risks and side effects from a course of doxy are small. It would be prudent to be fully treated. Doxycycline 100mg orally twice daily for 30 days.
