Lymph nodes?: You are most likely feeling lymph nodes. You have many of these all over your body and their job is to rid the body of infection (sometimes as simple as a head cold). If it continues to feel large or tender you should see a doctor. The submandibular salivary glands are more flat and lay in the floor of your mouth.
