Needs evaluation.: A steroid injection may or may not be helpful and you therefore may continue to have the soreness and tenderness associated with the underlying DeQuervain's Tenosynovitis. It is NOT usual, however, to have a NEW finding such as a bump 1.5 months after the injection and you should go back to the practitioner who performed the injection as soon as possible for medical evaluation.
