What would cause submandibular glands to swell on both sides of my neck? they are palpable. no pain. no other symptoms at all. very worried!!

Lymph nodes?: You may be noting lymph nodes that are enlarged. The lymph system helps to drain the body of infections. The infection could be as simple as a common head cold. It is likely not your submandibular salivary glands that you are feeling. If the swelling is still noticeable in a week, see a doctor.
