OCPs: OCPs are often prescribed for acne in PCOS. Benzoyl peroxide, tretinoin, adaplene, antibiotic ointments are often used as well. Spironolactone can be considered in some cases.

I had severe acne from PCOS for which I took zinc 50 mg daily. The zinc later took away most of it away. Why would the zinc do that in my case?
