Zithromycin and: doxycycline are, more or less, equally effective in treating chlamydia, altho the 1000mg azithromycin is more convenient for sure. I hope cultures or PCR testing was done. Don't assume your partner is OK. Tests aren't always accurate and symptoms aren't always apparent. Dr. Anne
