Is there a difference between harming the nervous and damaging the nervous system?

Basically the same: These two terms are interchangable in common use. When we warn patients of dangers we may say damage or harm. Depending on the situation, the many times damage or harm is reversible with normal healing from the body. Other times, after long-term, or chronic insult/injury there may be irreversible or permanent injury. Hope this helps!!
