A mammographic: Focal asymmetry on a baseline mammogram(assuming no suspicious features) is usually further evaluated with ultrasound. If the ultrasound demonstrates nothing suspicious, the focal asymmetry is, according to ACR BIRADS classification, a category 3 probably benign finding(less than 2% chance of malignancy). Short interval(6 months) follow up is the typical recommendation.
