Hold direct pressure: It is very unlikely that an insect could cause a puncture that will not stop bleeding. It's possible a rodent or a small mammal would be able to puncture your skin with their sharp teeth. If you hold pressure for 15 minutes, it will stop bleeding. If it does not stop by that time, you should ask a friend or family member to take you to the emergency room.
