Interesting question: The definition of virginity varies with the culture and persons involved. Some confuse the term with chastity, where no level of sexual behavior is practiced. For most, one loses their virginity when they have any sexual encounter with another person. That includes same or separate gender encounters. A few look to the bleeding of a hymen as a virginity marker, but i would not.
