Normal discharge: As a young woman, you will notice a change in your menstrual cycle for many years to come. Darker blood is older blood. Periods may alternate between heavy and light. Spotting can be common between periods. If there is a chance you may be pregnant, consider obtaining a pregnancy test. Do not be alarmed, what you are noticing is normal for many women.
