A member asked:

January 19th period was lighter than normal, lasted 6 days. february no period. usual cycle is 35 days. march 3rd/4th started with brown discharge and so far no regular period. negative pregnancy tests. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
