Blood clot: A blood clot below the knee may be in a superficial or deep vein. A deep vein blood clot is of greater concern as it may travel to the lungs. Signs that are consistent with a blood clot include mainly asymmetric leg swelling (one leg) but also possible redness and pain inthe leg. This happens pretty acutely. Risk factors are many. If these signs appear, seeing a doctor immediately is recommended.
