What to do: She likely has a dental problem that can only be diagnosed and treated by a dentist. Aspirin is just a temporary remedy for pain as both of you have already seen. It does not remove the cause, it only masks the pain. She may also have to see a physician to rule out other causes. When were her last dental and medical check-ups?

Jaw pain: This could be TMJ which is inflammation of the joint in the jaw. Clenching at night, stress, grinding teeth can all exacerbate this. Try an antinflammatory and relaxation. Pressure with palpating/pushing on the area just in front of ear on face may cause pain which can be indicative of this diagnosis.
