Altho some women: experience a delay in fertility after an abortion, you can't count on it as birth control. A positive pregnancy test indicates the presence of HCG. The presence of HCG usually indicates that an embryo has implanted in the uterus (i.e., you're pregnant) but sometimes it means only that placental tissue is present.
