Urinary tract: Blood in the urine is coming from somewhere in the urinary tract which includes the kidneys, the kidney tubes (ureters), or the bladder. It may also come from the prostate (benign enlargement or cancerous causes). Blood in the urine should always be evaluated for the prescence of cancer, even if there is no pain or if it resolves on its own without treatment.
