Tummy Bug: Diarrhea for 1-2 days is usually self limiting and all what you need is rest, oral fluids to replace the loss, and simple pain killers. Red flags: - Symptoms persists - Becoming very unwell - Dehydration and unable to tolerate oral intake - Blood with stool If any of the above, you need to seek medical care urgently Hope you get well soon

Gastroenteritis: You are likely having gastroenteritis and most likely caused by a virus unless you have bloody diarrhea or fever. Treatment is usually symptomatic with adequate hydration. If you have fever, blood in stool or dizziness, you would need to see PCP
