How to tell if stomach is disintended? i rarely hear/feel digestion and have loose to diarrhea orange stools, mild stomach cramps. infrequent passing of gas either rectually or burping. could it also be a bowel obstruction?

This sounds like irritable bowel syndrome. Whether or not you have a "distended" stomach probably is unrelated and unimportant. It doesn't sound at all like intestinal obstruction. Discuss with your primary care physician. Good luck.
