Many Causes: How old are you if I may ask? For young age with no skin changes and pain inside the head, I would be thinking of migraine as a possible cause. For older age group with pain more superficial on the skin I would be thinking of Shingles as a cause Please see your doctor for review Thank you

Neuralgia: This is an intriguing question I do not have enough information to answer but I can say the symptoms are arising in the ophthalmic division of the fifth cranial nerve called the Trigeminal nerve. Numbness is often described as a symptom of nerve pain. The frontalis muscle is in this area. An emerging tension headache of the right frontotemporal scalp or post herpetic neuralgia are considerations
