Blackheads in 50 yo: Soap and water work for black heads. On only one side of chest in a narrow band and really stinging, consider shingles which is treated with prescribed drug. However, if the "blackheads" are not clearing up, ... at your age you may have a serious skin disease that needs dermatology evaluation and even biopsy (eg for melanoma).
