I'm 5wks 4 days pregnant, ultrasound only shows gestational sac and yolk sac, no baby or heartbeat. levels are 7,000. is this normal? my dr. concerned

Verify with doc: At 5 weeks one would not expect to see a baby yet. The fetal pole and heartbeat is typically visible between 6-7 weeks. Check with your doctor on the follow up plan. Typically a repeat sonogram is ordered 1 week later
