Helpful: Although PRP injections will not "cure" arthritis, they are a very good and safe option for knee OA. Numerous studies have demonstrated their benefit in terms of reducing pain, improving function, and slowing the progression of OA. The debate lies in how many injections to give an how often. Their benefit does come gradually, but they often can provide benefit for at least 9-18 months.
