Varies : It varies somewhat, but in general PT does not do a lot for end stage arthritis in the knee. The main good non surgical alternative is visco-supplementation, which is the injection of lubricating fluid into the knee to supply sime "cushion"; synvisc (hylan g-f 20) is one example of this.
