Constipation: Have you been able to pass gas? If so that is good sign, but if you have not been able to pass gas and have belly pain, then I would want you to get examined before trying another dose of magnesium citrate.

Constipation: If you have no urge to have a bowel movement and no abdominal cramps or vomiting, another dose or dulcolax tablets may be taken. If you have urge for a BM and can't go, insert a rectal dulcolax suppository or administer a fleets enema. See a physician if there is abdominal pain, distension, tenderness, vomiting or total inability to have a bowel movement.
