Not sure but: In general in case the heart, liver and kidney functions are normal and the toes are not involved in the edema i would look to make sure the deep leg veins are normal or not. No idea when was the c-section and the time frame between the surgery and edema of the limb. So, have a d-dimer test (blood) and a leg vein ultrasound to r/o and possibility of a DVT (clot). Rare but does occur...
